I had a dream last night

Oh yeah, I forgot to write down my messed up dream from last night. I don't know how it started exactly, all I know is that it had something to do with this story I read before bed called "Yellow Woman" which was an odd and interesting read. What alot of the dream had to do with the story I don't know, but I knew they were connected. Anyway so it starts out in this forest along a beach. My friend and I were hiding in this forest because he had killed a man(part of the story)and I don't know why I felt the need to hide, too, but I did. We knew we wouldn't be safe in this particular forest because it was on a hill and had steps going up it for the tourists to climb, so we knew it would soon be full of people. We could see the town below, which was decent sized and far off in the distance there was another, much larger forest where for some reason we knew we would be safe. We had already come across some tourists while walking up the hill to check for other places to hide, but so far we didn't feel endangered. We just knew that we couldn't stay for more than a day before they would catch up with us. We also knew that we would have to travel by nightfall if we wanted to arrive at this other forest safely since the people in the town knew us. It did become night, but some reason we became separated and instead of heading in the direction of the forest I began looking for this particular lake. I knew that my grandparents had once lived there and that the neighbors would know me and I would be safe as long as I stayed along the shore. I found the lake, but it turned into a skywalk with rooms along one side and only two people came out of two different rooms. One was this old man that I knew somehow, but he didn't remember me, the other became a receptionist in a hospital whom I had to ask for the way out. She showed me the door and as I looked out I could see my way through the city to go where I needed to go(it was a very modern city with lots of intertwining roads and overpasses), but then the dream ended. I felt kind of sad as I woke up because I didn't complete my quest, but I'm sure I'll get the chance to do it over again because I usually do.
