My manager wants to hurt me
Yeah so after having gotten yelled at by this manager several times in the past I knew to stay away when she was in a bad mood. She doesn't just yell, she tries to make you cry it seems. She will scream at you in front of customers, call you stupid to your face, and make fun of you to others, all the while thinking she has done no wrong. She just blames it on her moods or believes you honestly deserved such horrible treatment. I know, I've took her aside and nicely asked her not to yell at me like that, but she told me it was no big deal(I think I'm the one who gets to decide if it was a big deal or not). I'm not her only victim, but lately it seems like I can do nothing right. The past three days I guess I have done everything to get in her way, be a pain, and generally ruin her day. The thing is that I have been acting the same way I always do, doing everything I am supposed to do which she usually is happy with my performance as such. Just when she is in her moods, all she sees is red. Today for instance one of my coworkers accidentally forgot to give a woman part of her order-a salad. The woman came back through drive-thru to get it and at this point my manager decides she's sick of looking at the salad and attempts to throw it away-which it was still perfectly fine. She misses the garbage, it instead falls on the floor(in it's bag) and so after explaining to her that the woman is in the line to get her salad, my coworker puts the salad on the counter. Then my manager freaks out, says it's in her way and slams the salad at the nearest thing which causes it to fly open and make a mess, which of course further infuriates her. My coworkers and I exchanged semi-terrified looks, but of course she was the only manager on duty so no one important witnessed this craziness. For awhile after that, I was afraid she might hit me. She's actually done it once, not really hard, but enough to anger me. I know I probably shouldn't put up with it, but with it getting so close to my move, I don't want to lose my job. I'm just going to keep trying to stay out of her way if I can help it. After all sometimes she can be nice.

Start documenting these incidents. Your manager is breaking the law. Write down the date, time and details of her outbursts. If you lose your job because of her you can take this information to the corporate offices.
