In the aftermath of Geek Prom

So I didn't get nominated for Queen Geek this year, but oh well, I still had fun. Well at least with my friends. This year Geek Prom seemed strangely snobby and like a huge popularity contest. Christie and I felt like misfits at the Geek Prom, what a strange thing to say, but that's honestly how it was. It was alright that it was at Pizza Luce' and great that I saw lots of people I haven't seen in awhile. When it came to the contests, though, it felt totally rigged. Like for one thing I dressed as Queen Amidala from Star Wars and just for the plain and simple fact that I like Queen Amidala, not because I am a Star Wars freak. So when I was judged for the title of Queen, I was only asked questions about Star Wars, which I thought was a load of crap. I don't know a lot about Star Wars, but I could have told them tons of geeky things about myself. Crap, I say crap. But oh well. Then came the Spazz dancing contest. I flailed my arms and swung my head around and kicked my legs and I got tapped out by the second song. I smeared my makeup all over my face and I was sent off because I wasn't spazzing enough. Ok, but the girl in the Trinity outfit who was pretty much just doing facial movements and not dancing at all was still in. Big load of crap. I didn't even stay to see who won after seeing all these people who joined in after the contest was well after way and who weren't doing much of anything. I really didn't want to see one of them win. Anyway, as you can tell I was seriously disappointed with the festivities this year. They did have the Geek Streak again this year, with fewer people and without hats over their faces to disguise them. So that was cool. I also got to spend some time with old friends so that's about all I enjoyed was stuff not directly associated with the prom itself. After awhile it was pretty empty at Luce' so Christie, Frosty, and I went to RT Quinlan's and then to the Norshor for a bit. Some creepy, desperate, magician guy hit on me and Frosty when we stopped back in at Luce'. Anyway not much else going on, except the usual, although I am making some headway with my cleaning up.
