The shit has hit the fan

Normally I try to stay out of my coworkers business, but today it was rubbed in my face and much too juicy not to share. Apparently two of my coworkers had been dating for some time, with she believing it to much more serious than he. Anyway he was a supervisor and had to go to a meeting with the managers, supervisors, and owners this weekend down in the cities. Meanwhile this other chick who was supposed to be the friend of the first chick had had the hots for this supervisor for some time. She even claimed that they had done things at and outside of work and had a picture taken of her and this supervisor together at a house party she'd had in which the girlfriend had not been invited to. Anyway so back to the meeting. After all the boring meeting stuff, they had their night free so they all went to get drunk. Well apparently the non-girlfriend had snuck along somehow and after they were good and wasted she made the moves on the supervisor. One of the managers later saw them together in bed and told the girlfriend when she got back. It was not a happy sight. The girlfriend, though she did not have to work today, was in the back bitching to everyone about what had happened. The messed up thing is that everyone who was involved in this situation, even those who had just known about the attempted seduction, were working today and all during my shift. So basically I had a front seat to all the drama, including when the cheater's accomplice had to confront the friend she'd wronged. The girlfriend was so pissed she told the other chick that she knew she wasn't sorry and that she knew about how she'd been planning it and that she could have him. The only reason this is amusing to me is because it all was layed out at work, which is a very bad place to hold this at. It was like being on the Jerry Springer show while being on the clock. The owner even spoke to all parties involved to get the whole story. Otherwise it is pretty sad. I know how it feels to be cheated on and yes I've been the girl who's helped cheat. I don't know why I did it since I know how it feels to be the other girl and I feel terrible about it to this day and wish I could tell the girl how sorry I am. I'm just glad I outgrew that stage in my life, which hopefully the girl involved in this story will too. I don't know if she does feel anything about it considering how her attitude has been since I met her, but she is still young. We can only hope she learned her lesson from this. I've learned one from my coworkers after this going on, too. You never know who's being honest to your face. The same girls who condemmed her not an hour before she arrived were extremely understanding the minute she showed up.
