Things are looking a little better
I finally got a different bike to use, one that doesn't have a Very Friendly Bike Seat. Today's bike ride wasn't so bad except for the hot, sticky air. I wasn't completely terrified to sit on the bike at least, which is a very good thing. No more bruising in strange places. Ok, now that I have completed my too much information for the day I can go on. I don't know if I mentioned this earlier, but Ben's new car is beautiful. It is so nice, as in really nice, not just nicer than the last car. It actually has 4 doors, cushy seats, and not a spot of rust. It even has one of those stupid things that "cool" guys put on the back of their cars to make it "go faster" or maybe just look "cooler," I don't know. Anyway last night I agreed to work till close because I desperately need the hours. I might actually have a decent schedule this week. I don't know why I don't get scheduled more because I kind of was promised more hours when I began, but it seems that's what every job I've worked for has said. The teenagers at my work get more hours, and granted they have more availability than me, but they don't have rent or children. She really needs to put into perspective who actually needs the hours more. I mean those who can work at night should work at night and only at night and leave those who need day hours alone. It's not like I'm a bad worker or anything. Sorry, just venting a little there, but really I do appreciate the hours I do get, it's not like anyone else has offered me a job. Well, I guess I do have one more offer, but it's got it's own reasons why it would be a pain, such as distance. The job I really wanted everyone else wants too, so I'm SOL on that one. Oh well, though, I only have a little over two years to finish my degree and then I should be swimming in cash. Ok, maybe not, but a girl can dream. I'll have other things to worry about then such as paying off student loans and having a mortgage and all that good stuff that comes with adulthood, real adulthood.
