I'm tired of working

I hate, hate my job. It would be an alright job if all I had to do was the dishes or clean up or take care of customers, but it sucks having to do all three at once. I swear everytime I pick up the broom or stick my hands in the dishwater I hear a little ding in my headset and I have to go back to the customers. I wish I could find another job doing just about anything else. I've applied at the grocery store, I've applied at various department stores and shops. I've debated applying at one of the local factories although my schedule is slightly off from their required hours and they are way out of my way. Yeah, I even tried quitting my job so when I found a new job I'd be available, but that just made me really poor and really bored. I hate oversaturated this town is with job seekers. And I don't have a clue as to what I am doing wrong to find a new job. I mean do I not call back enough times, do I call back too often, do I apply for the job on the absolute last day they are hiring and end up on the bottom of the stack for the next round? Or maybe I keep getting filed in that circular metal bin, I don't know. It's not like I don't have plenty of work experience, I've never been an actual supervisor or anything, but I've been the lesser paid equivalent. I'm a nice person and I work hard and I have a pretty flexible schedule so I just don't know why I never get called for an interview. Grrr....
